Doha: Al Jazeera has come out with a reply to BJP leader Subramanian Swamy’s allegation that the news channel had shown a clip from the famous Hindi movie Sholay as Gaza citizens dying from Israel strikes.

Al Jazeera PR, in a post on their Facebook page, rejected the BJP leader’s allegation, saying that they can only laugh at those kinds of “ridiculous stories about Al Jazeera.”

“We can only laugh at these ridiculous stories about Al Jazeera - like this fake photo of a Bollywood star...They could have at least got our logo right,” they said on their Facebook page.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy on his Facebook page had recently attacked the news channel for its Gaza coverage featuring the famous Bollywood film. “This is the worst case of YELLOW JOURNALISM I have ever seen,” he had said in his post.
