டம் டம் விமான நிலையம் அருகில் நடந்தது என்ன?

கொல்கத்தா: டம்டம் விமான நிலையத்திற்கு அருகில் உள்ள பாஜக தலைவர் வீட்டில் பதுக்கி வைத்திருந்த வெடிகுண்டு பயங்கர சப்தத்துடன் வெடித்ததில் ஒருவர் பலியானார். மற்றொருவர் படுகாயமடைந்தார்.

மேற்கு வங்கம் தலைநகர் கொல்கத்தா விமானநிலையம் அருகே உள்ள பாஜக தலைவர் வீட்டில் சுதந்திர தின விழாவைச் சீர்குலைக்க ஹிந்துத்துவா பயங்கரவாதிகள் ரகசியமாக வெடிகுண்டு தயாரித்துக்கொண்டிருந்த வேளையில் எதிர்பாராதவிதமாக பயங்கர சப்தத்துடன் குண்டு ஒன்று வெடித்ததில் ஒருவர் பலியானார். மற்றொருவர் படுகாயமடைந்துள்ளார்.

தகவலறிந்து அங்கு விரைந்து வந்த காவல்துறையினர் விசாரணை நடத்தியதில் ஹிந்துத்துவா பயங்கரவாதிகளால் அங்கு வெடிகுண்டுகள் ரகசியமாக தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு வருவது தெரிய வந்தது. இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அந்த வீட்டின் உரிமையாளர் மாணிக்தாஸ் பைத்யாவும் அவரது இரு மகன்களும் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். பைத்யா கடந்த இரண்டு முறையாக நகராட்சி தேர்தலில் பாஜக சார்பில் போட்டியிட்டவர் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

மேலும் விமான நிலையத்திற்குச் செல்லவிருந்த ஹஜ் யாத்திரிகர்கள் மீது இந்தக் குண்டு வெடிப்பை நடத்த பயங்கரவாதிகள் திட்டமிட்டிருக்கலாம் என காவல்துறையினர் சந்தேகிக்கின்றனர். ஆகஸ்ட் 16 ஆம் தேதி ஹஜ்ஜுக்கு புறப்படவிருந்த ஹஜ் யாத்திரிகர்கள் கூடியிருந்த இடத்திற்கு மிக அருகில் இந்தக் குண்டுவெடிப்பு சம்பவம் நிகழ்ந்துள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. வெடிகுண்டு தயாரிப்பு தொடர்பாக பாஜக தலைவரிடம் தொடர்ந்து விசாரணை நடந்து வருகிறது.

"இந்தத் குண்டு வெடிப்பு குறித்தோ, வெடிகுண்டு தயாரிப்பு தொடர்பாக பாஜக தலைவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டது தொடர்பாகவோ எந்தவொரு முன்னணி ஊடகமும் செய்தி வெளியிடாததும் என்.ஐ.ஏ எனப்படும் தேசிய புலனாய்வுப் பிரிவு இக்குண்டுவெடிப்பு குறித்து சிறு அளவில்கூட கண்டுகொள்ளாததும் தமக்கு மிகுந்த ஆச்சர்யம் அளிக்கிறது" என மேற்கு வங்க காவல்துறை உயர் அதிகாரி ஒருவர் அதிர்ச்சியுடன் குற்றம் சுமத்தியுள்ளார்.

கடந்த 14 ஆம் தேதி வெள்ளிக்கிழமை, காவல்துறையினர் நடத்திய சோதனையில் 22 மூட்டை வெடிமருந்து பொருட்கள், 500 கிலோ சல்பர் மற்றும் 600 கிலோ அம்மோனியம் நைட்ரேட் ஆகியவையும் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

Police also said that both the youths were criminals in Habra-Ashokenagar area and the duo had rented the Baiddya's house barely a couple of weeks back. "The duo was involved in several antisocial activities in Habra-Ashokenagar area including extortion. Several criminal cases were pending against the duo. They used to operate a gang who terrorize the local people and traders. We came to know that they were making the bombs to supply in Ashokenagar area while one of it's accidentally exploded," said Niraj Kr Singh, the police commissioner of Barrackpore City police.

Police also suspect that the house owner, Baiddya and his two his two sons who are associated with building materials supplying business had the information about the duo's criminal record and the activities like binding bombs in their room. "Though the house owner initially claimed that they knew nothing about the criminal activities in which their tenants were involved, we found several inconsistencies in their statements after which they were arrested. In an initial interrogation, another injured in the blast already admitted to the blast while making bombs," Singh also added.

Police said they are also investigating whether the duo had a long-time link with the house owner and his sons. "They will be further interrogated in this connection. An investigation is on," an investigating officer said.

According to a local sources, the house owner, Baiddya was known as an active BJP activist in the locality. "He also contested as a BJP candidate in civic election twice," a local said.
